The Barn Café is a beautiful café located in the heart of Claremont, NH in the old Stone Arch Bakery building. Our mission is to provide not only a great meal (always made from scratch), but a place where you can come and leave your worries at the door. History

The Barn Café was founded by Josh & Chelsea Savage in 2018. But the story doesn't start there! In July, 2014, Josh and his mom, Bev bought out the Red Barn Café and successfully ran it for almost 2 years before being forced to close due to rising overhead costs.

 

During that year, the food, customer service, and atmosphere of the café gained such a reputation that many tears were shed upon its closing. Thankfully, Josh, his family, and the incredible customers of the Red Barn Café never gave up on the dream of reopening a café, and that's how The Barn Café was brought to life!

In February of 2018, Josh, Chelsea, and Josh's mom Bev went to look at the Stone Arch bakery building. We quickly realized that the building was in disrepair and needed much more than just cleaning. On March 1st, we were given keys to the building and started the long journey of gutting and renovating. There were many late nights and early mornings, working around the clock to get the building repaired. Road block after road block, we kept plowing through and never giving up. With the help of family, friends, and the former building owner (Gene) we were able to finish renovations and open The Barn Cafe in September of 2018.  In January of 2022 we were blessed to take ownership of the real estate here.
